How it all started
In 2018, we were founded by Lori Bollinger after being diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma in situ of the cervix (AIS) and Vulval intraepithelial neoplasia (VIN). She wanted to provide support to women by providing care packages and comfy socks as they embarked on their cancer journeys.
Our story
We have collected and donated over 5,000 pairs of socks since our inception in 2018. Over the years we have partnered with local non-profit organizations including Unite for Her, Kisses for Kyle, Living Beyond Breast Cancer and Pockets of Hope. In January 2023, we expanded our mission to help fund cancer patients as they embark on their fertility journeys. We do this in memory of our sister, Janet Doherty who made it her life mission to help cancer patients “preserve the love”. If you are a cancer patient and live in the Philadelphia area, you are eligible to apply for our grant. We fund grants to individuals that reside in the following counties: Delaware, Bucks, Chester, Montgomery or Philadelphia.
